Speaking of bugs...

We took Nathan to the MOSH - Museum of Science and History to see their new bug exhibit.
First stop was to see the whales...

The next stop was for a science show. It was on electricity. Ben thought it would be a good idea to shock Nathan. When it was over, Nathan looked at me like what the he#% was that.

Next stop was to see the bug exhibit. Right away, Nathan did not like it.

He held on to Ben so tight.

Then Nathan tried to hide under Ben's hat...

There's our grasshopper friend, Nathan didn't like him either.

In this shot you can see how tight Nathan is holding on to Daddy. He didn't want to be put down for a second.

A quick stop at Friendship fountain before we head home.

Giant bugs...

(actual size)
So only in Florida have I ever seen such huge prehistoric looking bugs. Here is a typical grass hopper. This big guy was just "hanging" out on our screened porch.

Happy Birthday to Me!

July 24th - 27 Years Old
My this was another quick year!
This birthday Ben surprised me with a cake and a Nintendo Wii. I was so excited, we set it up the first night. It was a lot of fun. The next day our house was struck by lightening. It only messed up 3 things, the first being the Wii. The Wii is no more. What are the chances, hehe. Thank goodness we got the protection plan. It also blew up our wireless hub and network card on our desktop, and fried the logic board on our garage door. It could have been a lot worse though. Aside from the random strike of lightening, it was a good weekend. I look forward to another wonderful year filled with little surprises ;).

Ava and Nathan at the zoo's spray park...

Today was a new record for Nathan, today it only took him 1 min to fall asleep...

July 4th...

Happy Independence Day!

Our day started off at Kids Kampus, a downtown kids park. They had a lot of cool things set up for kids and Nathan seemed to enjoy himself.
We started out at the tatoo booth, as you can see.

Then it was on to the balloon toss...

A quick stop for a ride on the tractor...

and for a couple splashes in a puddle...

On to the bubble booth...

...the lastly the watermelon seed spitting booth.

After a quick chage of clothes Daddy and Nathan hit the spray park...

After a fun day at Kids Kampus, we headed home for Nathan's nap, then got ready and headed out again to watch the fireworks at the beach.
Nathan had a great time and loved playing in the sand, fortunately he didn't try to eat it this time...

This position ended in a face plant into the sand...

This was the result...it was funny until...

...he got some in his eye...
So after I dipped him in the ocean to clean him off, he sat patiently in our laps until it was time for the fireworks.

Nathan did really well, and loved the fireworks. The louder the firework the louder he cheered, but by the end of the night (10:15ish)...he was pooped and ready to go...
