Nathan has such a neat way of looking at things. It's amazing to listen to him and see how he interprets things...movies, shows, music, etc. Like most children, he likes to use the words that he hears us say or ones he's picked up from shows or movies. Some are big words, some times their bad words, but either way he usually uses them correctly when he says them. It's just really neat to see the little wheels turning in his head. Here are a couple things that have made me giggle recently...
1)After I found Nathan hiding in his tunnel playing his Leapster game, he said to me..."Mommy, I wanted to hide from you so that you don't extract me!" (extract = distract)
2)Anytime a new toy or game comes with literature he'll bring it to me (or Ben) and ask..."Mommy, can you read the erections?"
3)He calls a Popsicle a "popstickle"
In additon to his efforts in expanding his vocabulary he's come across a few phrases he'll say often. Here are just a few...
1)"You're a nice mommy, you remember that..."
2)After he passes gas... "Did you hear that bullfrog?"
3) If I apologize for losing my patience with him..."That's ok Mommy, you can try harder next time!
I know there are lots more, I just can't think of them all right now. I'll be sure to share them when I do.
