On Monday Nathan went into the hospital to have his tonsils and adenoids removed and tubes placed in his ears. It was an early start. We dropped Brayden off at my good friend Nikki's home at about 6:00am and off to the hospital we went.
After checking in they had Nathan change into a hospital gown.

We waited in the toy area for them to call our names...

Next they took us back to get Nathan's weight and oxygen levels. They put a hospital band on Nathan and on Mr. White...

They took us to our own room where we waited to see the anesthesiologist and the doctor.

Fortunately they had a television for Nathan to watch...

At this point they had given Nathan a kid version of valium. Because of its effects, he had to hang out in the wagon...
Thinks the camera is in the other direction...
Need I say more...
When it came time for surgery they wheeled Nathan off in the wagon. Although the valium helped, he still didn't want to leave us.
This was the hardest point of the day...post-op. Nathan was miserable. He was confused and in a lot of pain. It broke my heart. Daddy knows how to comfort him.

Finally a nap...

And finally a popsicle.

7 - 1/2 hours later, it was time to go home. Nathan was upset because he didn't want to leave the hospital. His reason...he liked the popsicles there better than the ones at home. In his hand was popsicle number 7.
